What SenseGap measures

SenseGap records two kinds of visits to your site:

• Bots and AI agents, such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Googlebot: which pages they open, how often, and whether each one is really who it claims to be.
• People sent by AI: visitors who clicked a link in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini or another assistant.

Ordinary human visits are never sent to us. Someone who typed your address or came from Google stays entirely on your side.

Measured and estimated

Visits, pages, bots and errors are measured: each number is a count of real requests. The likely topics people asked AI about are estimated from patterns across many visits, because AI companies don't share prompts. Estimates are always labelled as estimates.
